ULTIMATE surgical kit

The ULTIMATE protocol is common to both the In-Kone® PRIMO and In-Kone® UNIVERSAL implants, and by extension to the implants in the TwinKon® range.

This protocol has been optimised as a result of the development of homothetic helical drills designed based on the latest technical advances in cutting instruments for bone surgery.

A dual colour code enables the final drilling to be defined precisely and in a reproducible way according to the bone density.

The ULTIMATE protocol

Atraumatic & ultra-precise

The ULTIMATE protocol is organised on the basis of very gradual linear incrementation of the diameters of the drills from 0.2 to 0.3 mm. The osteotomy is gentle and controlled. The protocol can be adapted very precisely for different bone densities. The tapered cylindrical profile enables the drills to be centred on the first third of the shaft from the previous drilling, thus providing perfect stability.

Homothetic

The homothetic shape of the drills which matches that of the implants ensures uniform distribution of the primary stability over the whole of the active surface of the implant right from the initial healing phase.

Comfortable

The tapered cylindrical drills have a double edge providing effective cutting on two planes. This design not only helps to centre the drilling axis in the shaft, but above all it gives the practitioner constant, suction-free control of the progress of the drill in the bone, without excessive pressure on the head of the contra-angle wrench. The drill works with very little resistance and minimal temperature rise.

Greater control

The open point angle (120°) of the final drills reduces apical over-drilling. This characteristic will be useful when inserting implants close to anatomical obstacles..

The sensation of control of the drilling depth when reaming is more intuitive.

Effective

The 4 helical grooves in the drills provide high-volume, effective removal of bone shavings with no “clogging” effect. The preparation is precise and initial close contact between the host site and the implant is promoted.

Instructive

The drills have a dual colour code so that the final drilling can be defined precisely according to the bone density of the host site. The primary stability of the implants is easily reproducible.

Safe

The drills are treated with anti-reflective marking. An optional system of removable depth stops, with direct contra-angle pick-up, ensures a safe drilling depth close to anatomical obstacles.

Complete

A 20-80 N.cm detachable torque wrench controls the implant insertion torque without adversely affecting the quality of the host site, the integrity of the implant connection or the instrumentation.
